Sales Operations Analyst
About this role
If you haven’t heard of Amer Sports before, you’ve definitely heard of our internationally recognized brands including Wilson, Salomon, Arc’teryx and Atomic. Our brands specialize in high-performance, technical sports equipment and apparel, and encourage users to get outside, keep active and have fun – whether they are playing tennis or golf in the summer, or skiing in the Winter.
About the Role…
Sales Operations at Amer Sports ANZ covers four brands from one team: Arc'teryx, Atomic, Salomon, and Wilson. This role sits at the centre of that function.
The split is roughly 60% operations, 40% analysis. Operations means planning and coordinating projects, acting as the in-house Business Analyst for sales systems, and supporting the sales team on tools and processes. Analysis means building and improving Excel and Power BI reports, reading sales and channel data, and finding smarter ways to work. Both sides are expected from day one. The plan is to automate and reduce the operational load over time. The person in this role will lead that work.
You'll work with Sales Managers, Brand Managers, Merchandising, and Leadership. This is an internal specialist role; it supports the commercial and sales function, not external customers. Day to day responsibilities include:
- Own and maintain Excel reports, Power Query models, and Power BI dashboards across the four brands
- Identify and analyse trends, risks, and issues in sales, customer, product, and channel data
- Prepare summaries and performance reports for Sales Managers and the Leadership Team
- Respond to data and reporting requests from Sales, Customer Experience, Brand, and Merchandising teams
- Act as the in-house Business Analyst for Salesforce CRM and other sales systems: gather requirements from stakeholders, liaise with development teams, and coordinate testing and feature rollout
- Triage and manage inbound requests from Sales, Brand, and Merchandising teams on systems, reporting, and business process questions
- Plan and coordinate Sales Operations projects, tracking timelines and keeping stakeholders informed of progress
About you..
You’re highly analytical and commercial and enjoy working cross-functionally to drive better decisions through data insights, while maintaining strong attention to detail and system discipline. You bring;
- Demonstrated experience in Sales Ops, commercial analytics, or business analysis
- Advanced Excel and strong Power Query
- Power BI and DAX: build and troubleshoot, not just refresh
- Business analysis experience: gathering requirements, working with development teams, and supporting system improvements
- Communication that works across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A problem-solving instinct: find the right fix, not the nearest one
