Precision Solutions, an ATS company, is a well- established calibration, testing and inspection service organization in Quakertown, PA and is seeking a Calibration Technician for a full-time position. The candidate will be responsible for the calibration of mechanical inspection, measuring and testing equipment in the field work at the customers’ location, as needed.

Job Description

The Calibration Technician role is well-suited for a hands-on and detail-oriented individual with aspirations of building a career in the industrial weighing services. Calibration Technicians perform calibrations, repairs, and installations of weighing equipment ranging from high precision balances at a broad spectrum of customer facilities including, pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, outdoor truck scale facilities, other manufacturing facilities, etc.

Responsibilities

Service and calibration of weighing equipment
Basic knowledge of mechanical and electronic troubleshooting and repair
Develop a core understanding of Precision Solutions’ calibration and repair services
Shadow senior technicians and the service manager in the field to learn calibration and repair procedures
Attend internal and vendor‑led training sessions to build technical proficiency
Assist senior technicians with calibrations and repairs both in the field and at Precision Solutions’ facility

Metrology Technician – Scales & Balances

Calibrate scales and balances at customer sites, including clean‑room and laboratory environments as well as outdoor, industrial manufacturing locations
Repair scales and balances, requiring both mechanical and electronic troubleshooting skills and specific knowledge of scale and balance technologies
Install equipment sold by Precision Solutions, including scales, balances, industrial printers, and related equipment
Respond to emergency scale and balance repair requests as needed, which may include nights and weekends

Service Excellence & Compliance

Enter service data accurately and promptly into Precision Solutions’ service order software
Maintain proficiency in technical products, calibration procedures, regulations, safety practices, and industry best practices
Perform all duties in compliance with Precision Solutions’ quality system
Attend training sessions, meetings, and conferences offered by Precision Solutions, ATS, vendors, and industry partners

Customer & Team Relationships

Maintain timely and professional communication with coworkers and customers via phone and email throughout the workday
Build and sustain strong customer relationships through accurate service execution, clear communication, and a professional demeanor
Actively identify opportunities to support customer success and contribute to the growth of Precision Solutions and ATS
Establish and maintain positive, productive working relationships with all Precision Solutions employees

Qualifications
Basic proficiency in electronic and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and repair
High School Diploma or equivalent required; or combination of relative experience and education
Strong customer service and problem‑solving skills
Valid CDL preferred or willingness to obtain CDL when eligible
Proficient with using Microsoft Office, including Outlook
Ability to learn and adapt to custom software applications
Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds and work in a variety of customer environments
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
