As a Youth Support Worker, you'll play a meaningful role in providing care, encouragement, and guidance to adolescents ages 14–21 in a therapeutic residential setting. Through patience, teamwork, and compassion, you'll help residents build confidence, develop life skills, and achieve greater independence.

What You'll Do
The Youth Support Worker provides direct care, supervision, and support to adolescents ages 14–21 in a therapeutic residential setting.
Direct Care & Resident Support
Provide direct care and supervision for up to five residents
Assist with meal preparation, daily routines, and personal support
Transport residents to appointments, community outings, and activities
Build positive, supportive relationships through patience and encouragement
Assist residents with developing independence and daily living skills
Treatment & Team Collaboration
Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide consistent therapeutic care
Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development activities
Support behavior management strategies and individualized goals
Documentation & Communication
Maintain accurate resident documentation
Complete progress notes and incident reports
Communicate important updates with supervisors and treatment team
Follow all agency policies, procedures, and safety standards

Qualifications
Education & Experience
One of the following is required:
High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in a group setting; or
Associate or bachelor's degree in a field unrelated to social work or psychology plus six months of experience working with individuals with I/DD in a group setting; or
Associate or bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
Additional Requirements
Must be 21 years of age or older
Valid driver's license
Ability to successfully complete:
Physical screening
Drug screening
Criminal Record History Clearance
FBI Clearance
Child Abuse History Clearance
