About WOMANSPACE EMPOWER

WOMANSPACE EMPOWER is a recovery-focused residential behavioral health program that provides individuals with a supportive environment where they can strengthen their recovery, develop independent living skills, and work toward personal wellness goals.

Through person-centered and recovery-oriented services, the program helps participants build confidence, increase self-sufficiency, and achieve meaningful outcomes in their lives and communities.

What You'll Do

As a Life Skills Professional, you will:

  • Provide direct support and coaching to program participants throughout your shift.
  • Assist individuals in developing life skills, recovery supports, coping strategies, and daily living skills.
  • Facilitate and document psychoeducational and recovery-focused groups.
  • Support participants in achieving goals identified within their Recovery Support Plans (RSPs).
  • Intervene in crisis situations and complete required incident documentation.
  • Review program documentation for accuracy and completeness, including observation checks, medication administration records, and shift notes.
  • Support participants with maintaining household responsibilities and independent living skills.
  • Enter required census, demographic, intake, and billing information into agency systems.
  • Assess participant strengths, skills, and learning styles to support individualized growth and development.
  • Develop and review Recovery Support Plan goals with participants every 60 days.
  • Collaborate with community agencies and service providers to ensure coordinated services.
  • Promote a recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and person-centered environment.
  • Report maintenance, safety, and program concerns as needed.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in the social service field.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges.
  • Ability to complete documentation accurately and timely.
  • Ability to support a recovery-oriented and trauma-informed environment.

Preferred

  • Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP).
  • Certified Peer Specialist (CPS).
  • WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) Training.
  • Experience working in residential behavioral health or recovery-focused programs.

Schedule

  • Non-Exempt Position
  • Flexible scheduling may be required
  • Evening, weekend, and holiday coverage may be required based on program needs

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop, and climb stairs.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to drive and transport participants if required.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
