What You'll Do 

As Community Director, you'll be responsible for the overall success of your apartment community by leading daily operations, financial performance, leasing activity, resident satisfaction, and team development. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Lead all day-to-day operations of the community while driving occupancy, resident retention, and financial performance. 
  • Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing onsite team. 
  • Partner with Human Resources and Regional Leadership on hiring, onboarding, performance management, employee development, and staffing initiatives. 
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and foster a positive resident experience. 
  • Oversee leasing operations and ensure compliance with Fair Housing and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. 
  • Manage rent collections, delinquency, and eviction processes in accordance with company policy and legal requirements. 
  • Prepare, monitor, and manage operating budgets while identifying opportunities to improve financial performance. 
  • Maintain accurate lease files, reports, and operational records. 
  • Build strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and business partners while ensuring compliance with insurance and contract requirements. 
  • Ensure the community is maintained to AMP's high standards of appearance, safety, and cleanliness. 
  • Monitor market conditions and implement strategies to maintain competitive positioning. 
  • Communicate regularly with Regional Leadership regarding property performance, challenges, and opportunities. 
  • Perform additional leadership responsibilities that support the success of the community. 

What We're Looking For 

The ideal candidate is an experienced multifamily leader who enjoys mentoring teams, solving problems, and creating communities residents are proud to call home. 

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 3 years of multifamily property management experience 
  • Previous experience leading and developing onsite teams 
  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred 
  • Strong financial and operational management skills 
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and decision-making abilities 
  • Outstanding customer service and conflict resolution skills 
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, property management systems; Yardi experience is a plus 
  • Thorough understanding of Fair Housing and apartment industry regulations
