We have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Advisor - Community and Social Performance to join our Infrastructure Delivery team in our Brisbane or Melbourne office on a permanent full-time basis.

Working in the Infrastructure Delivery team, you will play a key role in delivering engagement and social performance activities across APA's infrastructure projects to support project delivery, foster positive social outcomes, and build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and communities.

Working across a diverse range of projects, you will help deliver positive outcomes for communities while supporting successful project delivery from concept through to construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Community and Social Performance Plans and activities.

  • Lead meaningful, inclusive and culturally appropriate community engagement activities.

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including First Nations communities and organisations.

  • Identify, assess and manage project community and social performance risks, impacts, and opportunities.

  • Provide specialist advice and guidance to project teams on community and social performance matters.

  • Helping projects succeed by balancing delivery, social value and community expectations

Your Background

  • Extensive experience in a similar role (preferably gained in the infrastructure, mining, gas or other resources sector)

  • Knowledge of regulatory approvals processes for energy infrastructure development projects, and the related community and social performance requirements

  • Demonstrated ability in developing and implementing community engagement programs

  • Experience working respectfully and in a cultural appropriate way with First Nations communities and organisations

  • Proven ability to engage and collaborate with both diverse internal and external stakeholders including community, government, business and economic development groups

  • Effective communication, listening, and presentation skills

  • The ability and willingness to travel and a valid Driver’s licence
