INFORMATION ABOUT THE BUSINESS
Aon Captive & Insurance Management (ACIM) team is involved in Financial Reporting and Commercial Insurance business, Operations & Risk, Internal Finance & Life Actuarial Support.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:
Incumbent would be responsible for preparation of Financial Reporting, Planning and Budgeting, Forecasting, Management Information (MI) Reporting and Financial Controllership function.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- CA Fresher to 4 years of work experience into Finance & Accounting, Planning and Budgeting, Forecasting, Management Information (MI) Reporting and Controlling function.
- Proven track of working with multiple clients and managing the deliverables under a fast changing expectations with accurate quality in a metrics environment.
- Experienced in working towards identifying and implementing the process improvements, standardization and automation impacting larger team.
- Preferably someone from an F & A Off-shoring background from Record to Report function, Management Reporting/Financial Reporting or Controllership.
- Preparation of Management Service Accounts (MSA) for the Captive Entities and ensuring the timely submission of MSAs with Notes and Schedules.
- Regular interaction with the Domicile team to timely collect the appropriate information/inputs; perform General and Technical Accounting and related calculations including Loss Reserves.
- Independently deliver the complex set of Management accounts for large clients with multiple risk coverage/policies based across geographies.
- Preparing the Financial Statements per US GAAP or IFRS-17.
- Support the Domiciles for Adhoc queries and Financial Audit.
- Develop good working relations with On-shore clients by providing adequate customer service, and proactively work towards managing the customer expectations.
- Peer Review of Management Accounts, Schedules, and workings to testify the quality of deliverables, and assist in effectively implementing the Internal Review Mechanism and Control process.
- Actively work with supervisor and other team members in identifying and implementing the process standardization, simplification and automation opportunities, and act as a mentor/support for the junior team members.
- Work with the immediate supervisor for operations stabilization, and ability to act as a back-up.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
- Hands on experience to any Accounting Software / ERP (SAP, Oracle, People Soft) added advantage if exposure to SICS, D365 & E-Frame (IFRS-17) is available.
- Good Knowledge of MS-Office primarily MS-Excel with ability to use the functions of Advanced Excel including developing Macros.
- Basic understanding of IFRS-17 & US-GAAP
- Good Communication and Customer Service skills.
- Ability to deal with mid to senior stakeholders, and good articulation skills.
- At times, ability to convince the onshore customers with right reasoning and presentation of facts.
- Takes initiatives and self-motivated.
- Disciplined and professional approach in delivering results, and ability to act as successor for the next role & take up additional responsibilities.
- Works with the team members on assigned projects and deliverable.
- Collaborative and willingness to participate in wider initiatives.
- Good Finance and Accounting experience with Analytical skills,
- Ability to fast interpret & analyze the numbers and calculate the impact on Financial Statements.
- Review and Procedural Controls.
- Strong Communication skill
- Small to large project teams and extensive interaction with internal and/or external clients.
