Simulation Engineer
About this role
We are building a simulation platform from the ground up and need a hands-on builder to join our founding team. You’ll translate customer systems into validated simulations, enabling onboarding and expanding platform capabilities in a fast-paced, early-stage environment. Your work will directly impact customer trust and growth.
What youll do
- Own the end-to-end onboarding of customer systems, translating their robots, sensors, and environments into our simulation platform.
- Build and calibrate high-fidelity simulation models for cameras, lidar, and radar from first principles.
- Collaborate on-site with customers to tune simulations from 80% to near 100% accuracy.
- Define and execute test plans to quantitatively validate simulation fidelity against real-world data.
- Build internal tooling and automation in Python to make calibration, testing, and onboarding repeatable and scalable.
What Antioch is looking for
- 2+ years in robotics or hardware simulation positions.
- Experience with Nvidia Isaac Sim/Lab.
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis, testing, automation, and tooling.
- Experience programming in Rust and/or C++.
- Hands-on experience building and calibrating hardware simulations (sensors, cameras, lidars, radars, etc.).
- Experience with non-visible sensing systems (infrared/thermal, UV, radar, lidar).
- Strong engineering fundamentals; degree in mechanical/robotics/electrical/mechatronics or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated deep ownership of at least one sensor/system simulation end-to-end.
