AnthroMed is seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide onsite services in Flat Rock, MI. This part-time position will support Kindergarten through 8th-grade students, within ASD and Special Education classrooms, helping students build the functional, sensory, and motor skills needed to thrive in the school environment. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations to assess students' fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and functional school-based skills
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with students' IEP goals
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to K-8 students, with a focus on supporting students in ASD classrooms
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, and related service providers to promote student success
- Recommend adaptive equipment, environmental modifications, and sensory strategies to improve participation in school routines
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and complete required Medicaid and IEP paperwork
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute meaningful recommendations regarding student needs and services
- Stay current on evidence-based occupational therapy practices and school-based intervention strategies
Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current or eligible Michigan Occupational Therapist licensure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Previous pediatric or school-based experience is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
