ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

General description of main/primary duties and responsibilities of the job, aptitude, level of complexity, span of control, autonomy, decision making and judgement. It is central and necessary to the satisfactory performance of the job. Includes the following and other duties as assigned.

Under limited guidance, this position will:

  • Primary responsibility is to direct and lead Company’s Midstream Gas Operations including Gathering, Compression and Processing services.
  • Lead and promote a positive Health Safety Security and Environmental (HSSE) culture that is dedicated to year-on-year performance improvement.
  • Demonstrate and enforce the highest professional integrity, ethics, and safety discipline.
  • Accountable to manage, plan, and forecast the operations capital and operational budget to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual expectations.
  • Direct operating strategies, business processes, and performance management systems to drive improvements in safety, pipeline integrity, planning and maintenance, equipment reliability, production throughput, cost efficiency, and expected overall operating results.
  • Report current performance and future projections to senior management while proactively providing recommendations to address issues and challenges within the business.
  • Lead and direct the operations organizational capabilities to ensure Midstream personnel are trained to perform their respective duties and meet high performance expectations.
  • Support project planning, development, and execution. Ensure that Midstream projects are handed over to operations in accordance with Company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the primary Midstream Operations representative in the region. Develop and maintain interface with regulatory entities, partners, suppliers, and other operators.
  • Participate in public, private, and government organizations as a representative on behalf of the Company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Experience, Licensure (minimum level required)

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Field of Study: Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Petroleum Engineering or related field.
  • At least fifteen (15) years of Midstream or related Oil & Gas technical and operational experience.
  • At least ten (10) years of professional leadership and management experience.
  • Advanced technical knowledge and experience within gas filtration, compression, dehydration, gas gathering, NGL processing and NGL fractionation including previous experience managing $50MM+ of capital and/or operational budgets.

  • Understanding of the American Petroleum Institute (API) Recommended Practices (i.e. API RP80, RP500, RP1165, RP1167, 1168).
  • Fluent with economic parameters and evaluation including IRR, NPV, WACC, DFCF, discount rate, risk rate and pay-back period.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including MS Outlook, Excel, Word, etc. and use/operation of standard office equipment.
  • Strong ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships, foster and encourage teamwork to achieve value accretive objectives and projects.
  • Respond urgently to operational business matters with decisive prioritization and action.
  • Highly skilled to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities, tasks, growth, and direction.


SAFETY SENSITIVE RELATED

If applicable. For designation above and field related positions. 

  • Ability to safely operate vehicles, equipment, and tools.
  • Able to recognize and apply safety processes and procedures.
  • Possess valid driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR) that meet Company’s Insurance qualifications to operate Company vehicle.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role will have director level responsibilities over the Gathering and Compression departments. Supervises two (2) or more Full-Time Employees regularly.


Responsible for regularly making decisions and/or recommendations concerning:

  • Setting goals, expectations and objectives.
  • Setting or adjusting work hours.
  • Plan, appoint, and direct the work.
  • Recommend advancement, promotions, or other changes in status.
  • Handle complaints/grievances and disciplinary issues.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Excludes occasional visitation to the field – reference Travel section.

Both Office and Field Related:

  • Job is performed in both the office and in the field work environment.
  • Approximately 90% in the office and 10% in the field.


This position may be subject to:

  • Exposure to computer screens and requires regular use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system.
  • Extreme Cold and Heat: temperatures typically below 32o F or above 100o F for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions as wind, rain, snow, and humidity.
  • Noise: there is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.
  • Vibration: exposure to oscillating movements of the extremities or whole body.
  • Confined Space: work areas large enough for individual to enter, limited means of entry or exit, and not designed for continue occupancy.
  • Hazards: includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to chemicals, combustibles, explosives, etc.


HOURS / SHIFTS

  • Regular business hours.
  • Available for responsibilities on weekends and holidays for urgent issues or emergencies during off hours, as needed.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Minimally lift, push, carry and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Regularly be able to bend, stoop, crouch, etc.
  • Minimal amount of traversing through challenging terrain to perform work, evaluate sites and conditions, inspect equipment/assets, etc.


TRAVEL

Approximate amount of time.

  • Minimal travel may be required to other locations.
  • Minimal travel to Company’s field operations and/or offices. Approximately 10% of time in field.
  • Approximate overnight travel is 5%.
