ROLES ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Monitoring and responding to queries related to the QHSE functions.
- Preparation of QHSE statistics through data gathering and ensuring trend analysis.
- Support and coordinate with Operations, Technical Officers, Vessel Managers, and other QHSE department to support timely follow-up and effective implementation of required actions.
- Assist in follow up of various internal / external audits and inspections. Monitor and arrange internal / external Audits before the due date.
- Monitor vessel position and send relevant guidance to vessels for high-risk ports.
- Support the QHSE Manager in delivering fleet quality assurance objectives through structured coordination of audits, inspections, reporting, communications, and continuous follow-up of compliance-related actions, and any other task as of sign
- Assist in compliance documentation and checks within maritime standards and regulations
- Monitor “Plan - Do - Check - Act” process for the company in relation to the company’s KPI’s
- Support and ad hoc tasks such as incident and injury records, weekly/monthly reporting, and client or management presentations.
- Act as a key point of coordination for QA matters, ensuring accurate documentation, timely reporting, effective stakeholder engagement, and consistent follow-up of audit, inspection, and safety-related actions.
KEY SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES
Technical skills
- Basic understanding of shipping operations, vessel management, QHSE documentation, audits, inspections, and maritime compliance requirements.
- Able to monitor vessel-related information, support high-risk port guidance, and assist with fleet reporting and follow-up actions.
Professional skills
- Good communication and coordination skills with the ability to liaise with different parties, such as vessels, Operations, Technical Officers, Vessel Managers, and QHSE teams.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- Bachelor Degree Holder or above
- Background in shipping related studies is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Prior working experience or marine work background would be preferable but not mandatory.
- Have a strong drive to improve standards and processes
- Ability to self-learn, multi-tasking and working independently.
- Good verbal and written skills in English.
