Job DetailsJob Location: Anchor Fabrication Kansas - Wichita, KS 67213Position Description:

The Material Handler supports the production work flow and is responsible for storing and distributing material and product throughout the facility by means of a variety of material handling equipment.

Key Job Responsibilities

Responsible for loading, unloading, and moving material within or outside the plant building to ensure material is organized and maintained in preplanned locations.
Removes scrap from inside the plant and places in appropriate bins for recycling.
Maintains cleanliness of the outdoor areas around the facility.
Move pallets/containers in and out of the building as necessary and is responsible for keeping the pallet and container area neat and organized.
Maintains organization in the fixture area.
Marks materials as needed with identifying information.
Loads, unloads, and moves product for internal customers within JRCM to aid with product flow by insuring parts get moved to the next work area.
Assists in the preparation of products for shipment for the purpose of stabilizing the products to reduce breakage, and or damage during delivery.
Undertakes other duties appropriate to the role and level of responsibility of position.

QualificationsQualifications

Must be able to follow directions and communicate clearly with other departments.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and establish effective work priorities.

Education and Work Experience Requirements

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
1-2 years of Forklift experience, required.
Prior Manufacturing experience, preferred.

Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions

Frequently reaching, standing, bending, squatting, and twisting.
Ability to lift 50 pounds independently.
Exposure to shop, office and outside environment.

Other

Working more than 40 hours per week may be required occasionally to complete company deliverables.
