The CNC Machinist Level 1’s role is to produce machine parts on a CNC Mill or Lathe, meeting or exceeding customer specs and productivity requirements by reading blueprints and ensuring correct machine settings. They are highly motivated and have a desire to work in a fast paced, quality centered environment. This role is vital to ensuring our customers’ needs are consistently met, promoting our company’s continued strong national growth.

Primary Responsibilities
Produce machined part(s), using a CNC Mill or Lathe, and consistently meeting or exceeding customer specifications, including tolerances, structural and aesthetic requirements of the part(s).
Follow Anchor safety procedures to ensure a safe workplace for self and others, including proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
Ensure appropriate paperwork and system entries are completed, including traveler allocation and first part tags
Ensure proper set up of machine and tooling for each job.
Use overhead crane to move material into and around machine and remove finished parts from machine
Use handheld power grinder to deburr parts.
Clean machine, tooling and work area at end of each shift
Other 5S initiatives as assigned
Other duties as assigned
QualificationsMinimum Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent demonstrated ability to read, write and perform basic math calculations
1 or more years’ experience operating CNC Mill or Lathe in a production environment.
Ability to read tape measure and other handheld measuring tools
Ability read blueprints
Ability to set and operate CNC Mill or Lathe
Additional Desired Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of metal alloys and their properties

This position is carried out in a fabrication shop environment and as such has the following physical work requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 100lbs.
Position requires the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
Position may require bending, kneeling, and stooping.
Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, and chemicals.
