Description of Division and Business Unit

The Technology function at AMP is accountable for developing and delivering the Technology Strategy that enables AMP to achieve its strategic objectives. Technology is responsible for delivering secure, agile, compliant, and well-governed technology services that create value for customers, members, colleagues, shareholders, and other stakeholders.

Technology operates across several core functions:

  • Strategy, Architecture & Performance - Custodian of AMP's technology strategy, architecture, governance, operating model, and future-state roadmap.
  • Business-Aligned Technology Functions, Integration & Platforms - Partnering with business units to shape priorities and co-create demand, while enabling seamless connectivity across enterprise applications, platforms, cloud services, data ecosystems, and third-party partners through scalable integration capabilities.
  • Digital, Data & AI - Driving customer experience, digital innovation, AI enablement, analytics, automation, and data-led growth opportunities.
  • IT Security, Risk & Compliance - Ensuring AMP remains secure, risk-aware, and compliant while supporting the safe adoption of emerging technologies.

About the Role

Senior Solution Architect - AI & Data to lead the architecture and delivery of enterprise-scale AI, Data, Cloud, and Digital initiatives. This role will provide end-to-end architectural leadership across AI enablement, agent-based solutions, data platforms, cloud technologies, analytics, and digital capabilities, ensuring alignment with AMP's technology strategy, architecture standards, security requirements, and governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of end-to-end solution architectures across AI, Data, Integration, Cloud, and Digital platforms.
  • Define conceptual, logical, and physical architecture designs that support business and technology outcomes.
  • Design solutions leveraging Generative AI, AI Agents, Agentic Workflows, Intelligent Automation, Machine Learning, Knowledge Retrieval, and Analytics capabilities.
  • Architect AI-ready data solutions, focusing on data accessibility, governance, metadata, lineage, quality, privacy, and security.
  • Design and govern enterprise integration architectures leveraging APIs, event-driven patterns, messaging, microservices, integration platforms, and real-time data exchange capabilities across cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Lead architecture across the Microsoft AI Foundry Framework, Azure AI Services, Agent 365, AWS, Salesforce, ServiceNow AI Control Tower, and the broader enterprise AI ecosystem.
  • Define architecture patterns covering data sourcing, model integration, prompt management, monitoring, evaluation, auditability, human oversight, and compliance requirements.
  • Define integration architecture patterns covering API management, service orchestration, event streaming, system interoperability, data exchange, security controls, monitoring, and operational resilience.
  • Assess and recommend solution options across build, buy, extend, and reuse scenarios.
  • Ensure solutions address non-functional requirements including security, scalability, resilience, performance, supportability, and compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, project managers, engineers, data teams, security teams, integration teams, Microsoft, and strategic vendor partners.
  • Support architecture governance through Architecture Impact Assessments, High-Level Solution Designs, Architecture Definition Documents, and Compliance Reviews.
  • Contribute to enterprise roadmaps, architecture standards, reusable patterns, and best practices across AI, Data, Integration, Cloud, and Digital domains.

Required Experience

  • 5-10 years' experience as a Solution Architect delivering complex technology solutions within large enterprise environments, with proven experience taking solutions from business case through implementation and production deployment.
  • Proven hands-on architecture experience delivering enterprise AI and data solutions using Microsoft AI Foundry and ServiceNow AI Control Tower within the same environment.
  • Strong expertise in AI, Data, Integration, Cloud, and Enterprise Architecture, including the design and delivery of enterprise-scale AI-enabled solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering AI ecosystems, agentic AI solutions, AI governance frameworks, and enterprise AI capabilities.
  • Proven experience designing AI-ready data platforms covering data readiness, accessibility, governance, metadata, lineage, data quality, AI observability, monitoring, and compliance controls.
  • Proven experience designing enterprise integration solutions using API-led connectivity, event-driven architectures, integration platforms, and modern interoperability patterns across complex technology landscapes.
  • Strong understanding of security, risk, privacy, compliance, responsible AI, AI governance, model monitoring, operational resilience, and integration security within complex enterprise environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and consulting skills, with experience working across the full SDLC and collaborating with business leaders, technology teams, Microsoft, ServiceNow, and vendor partners to deliver strategic outcomes.

Desired Experience

  • Banking, Wealth, Advice, Financial Services, or Digital Transformation experience.
  • Experience working directly with Microsoft and strategic technology partners.
  • Exposure to Generative AI, Copilot, Intelligent Automation, RAG solutions, Agentic AI, and enterprise AI ecosystems.
  • Experience with both packaged and custom-built solutions.
  • Experience with enterprise integration technologies and platforms such as Azure Integration Services, MuleSoft, Boomi, Kafka, Event Hub, Apigee, or similar API and integration solutions.
