The Associate Business Analytics Director is a strategic leader responsible for delivering key analytical insights and recommendations that drive commercial decisions-making across the business. 

  • Developing the revenue forecast for all on market products in the portfolio, as well the narrative / insights supporting those financials. 

  • Leading the forecast / valuation for pipeline assets and partnering with Business Development to develop and present the value (and Go/No Go recommendation) for new business opportunities. 

  • Serving as the "Go to" person to analyze and make recommendations on key business options/decisions relating to key business initiatives such as GTM launch scenarios, life cycle management decisions, and important pricing decisions. 

  • Serving as the expert on CMS ASP pricing in the organization and leading all strategic and tactical ASP modeling / analytics for the business. 

  • Delivering the best analytics / insights for Biosciences and continually improving the approach / tools / processes that support our ability to drive the business. 

  • Partnering closely with the Market Access organization to analyze and present recommendations regarding all Payer Bids for the Bioscience portfolio. The Associate Director must have familiarity with both medical and pharmacy payer / reimbursement dynamics and will also partner mainly with the following functions to execute his/her duties: 

  • Data Analytics & Insights 

  • Marketing 

  • Sales 

  • Commercial Operations & Contracting 

  • Finance It's essential to effectively work with all these stakeholders to drive alignment on the pricing strategies, tactics and targets and how they impact their business and respective customers. 

     

Essential Functions:

  1. Forecast Existing / Future Business for the organization
    • Develop (and update 3X during the year) annual revenue forecasts for all existing/near term launch products based on detailed market assessments, discussions with Field leadership, and use of regression analyses and other analytical tools.
    • Present financials / business story to Sr. leadership; Prepare LRP revenue forecasts / business strategy for Biosciences pipeline on an annual basis;
    • Serve as key engagement partner with Business Development. In this capacity, both determine the value for new business opportunities and ensure alignment with key functions in Biosciences and present outcome / recommendations to management.
  2. Analytic Leadership
    • Lead and present complex analytical projects and make recommendations on business strategies and pricing decisions.
    • Examples include:
      • Lead the analysis / recommendation on life cycle management opportunities (involving commercial partnerships, other operational models).
      • Provide leadership determining financial impact / tradeoffs for various GTM launch scenarios (partnering with Marketing, IP counsel, Finance).
      • Determine appropriate IC targets by Product / key business area on a quarterly basis.
      • Determine impact of select pricing changes (i.e. WAC) and present recommendations.
    • Provide strategic support to Sales / Com Ops / Marketing organizations.
  3. Market Access & Value Strategy
    • Partners closely with Market Access organization to create detailed analysis of all PAYER/PBM bids both for medical and pharmacy coverages.
    • Develops and presents both the outcome of the analysis and BID recommendations to Market Access and Bioscience leadership (and at times to enterprise leaders as part of more formal Pricing Committee process).
    • Supports development of value propositions, value evidence strategies, and pricing narratives that strengthen market access positioning.
  4. Government Pricing & Market Dynamics
    • Serves as the organization’s expert on ASP strategy, developing quarterly ASP projections that are critical to both influence future pricing actions we take with customers, and guide pricing in the Plan/LRP/LE process.
    • Leads the development, evaluation and recommendation of complex strategic pricing strategies that maximize each product’s profitability.
    • Ensure pricing projections reflect government pricing regulations and market realities.
    • Stay informed on legislative and regulatory developments impacting pricing and reimbursement and assess implications for brand strategy.
  5. Business Process Improvements
    • Responsible for improving key business processes with an emphasis on figuring out how AI can improve our work processes.
    • ASP development / projection process including partner selection, data collection and approach to identify and evaluate strategic pricing options.
    • Forecasting process including streamlining the process to load data into models and incorporating the use of regression analyses and other analytics.
    • Streamlining the Payer BID analytic development/evaluation process.
