Assistant Manager, Instrumentation
About this role
- Assist in the design and implementation of instrumentation and control systems for industrial processes.
- Prepare and review P&IDs, instrument lists, loop diagrams, instrument specifications, and control panel layouts.
- Track progress of instrumentation-related tasks against project timelines and assist in resolving execution bottlenecks to ensure timely delivery.
- Support in managing vendors and contractors for instrumentation scope, ensuring quality control, safety compliance, and timely completion of the project.
- Working knowledge of SCADA, PLC, and DCS systems, and instrumentation used in regulated environments. Also to have basic understanding of various field instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, level), control valves, and analytical instruments.
- Assist in the commissioning of instrumentation and control systems – including sensors, transmitters, control valves, analysers, and safety instrumented systems.
- Coordination with various cross functional department like civil, mechanical, electrical, automation, QA, and EHS teams to ensure integrated project execution.
- Good exposure of preventive & breakdown maintenance activity.
- Good knowledge & exposure for qualification & validation activities as per 21 CFR.
- Prepare & Maintain documents like URS, FS, DQ, IQ & OQ & SOP etc and support during regulatory inspections and audits.
- Prepare & maintain the calibration matrix & perform the calibration activities also.
- Basic understanding of BMS & EMS system & familiar with various process equipment of OSD, Injectable & Utility Area.
- Tools: AutoCAD, MS Office, SAP etc
- Strong planning and cross-functional communication skills.
- High discipline in schedule adherence and issue resolution.
- Eager to learn, with developing analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Team player with a strong execution focuses and attention to documentation clarity.
- Ability to support discussions with regulatory, validation, and audit teams regarding instrumentation.
