Assistant, Electrician
About this role
The role is responsible for supporting the design, development, testing, and implementation of electrical systems, electronics, and electromagnetism-based equipment used in manufacturing processes and electrical components of manufactured products. The role assists in installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical manufacturing systems and electronic devices, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient performance. The position supports day-to-day engineering operations, including execution of electrical tasks, basic project assistance, and coordination with technical teams. The role contributes to manufacturing quality assurance and control processes, helping identify and resolve electrical issues, optimize system performance, and monitor finished product quality. The position strengthens operational reliability, safety compliance, preventive maintenance effectiveness, and continuous improvement in regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
Essential Functions:
- Assist in installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment
- Perform basic wiring & cabling and electrical panel-related tasks
- Support preventive & predictive maintenance and corrective maintenance (CM) activities
- Monitor electrical system performance and report abnormalities
- Assist in power distribution management and load monitoring
- Support grounding & earthing systems inspections and safety compliance
- Assist in UPS & Backup Power Systems Management activities
- Support Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) & Motor Control maintenance
- Maintain technical documentation, work logs, and maintenance records
- Follow safety standards, SOPs, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Assist in basic troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Participate in continuous learning and improvement initiatives
