Responsibilities

What You’ll Do as an Experienced Backhoe Operator, Heavy Equipment Operator

  • Operate a backhoe or shovel to dig for sewer, water, and gas line repairs or new installations

  • Break concrete and prepare areas for digging

  • Assist technicians with repair work on-site

  • Backfill serviced areas, clean up, seed, and restore job sites

  • Remove old sewer lines and check line flow before completing jobs

  • Obtain customer approvals for work performed

  • Maintain and fuel the service vehicle and ensure proper truck stocking

  • Transport materials and tools and track tool usage

  • Complete required documentation on services provided and handle any customer payments as needed

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring:

  • 2+ years of Heavy equipment operator experience 

  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to work safely and efficiently on job sites
