Monday–Thursday: 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
Occasional Friday: 6:00 AM–10:00 AM
Climate-Controlled Manufacturing Facility
Full-Time | 40–45 Hours Per Week | No Saturdays
Overtime may be required based on production demands and business needs.

Position Summary
The Inside Upholsterer is responsible for upholstering the interior structure of premium upholstered furniture by applying fabric, leather, and other upholstery materials to furniture frames. This position requires advanced upholstery skills, attention to detail, and the ability to consistently produce high-quality furniture while meeting production goals.
Essential Responsibilities
- Upholster the interior components of sofas, chairs, sectionals, ottomans, and other upholstered furniture.
- Fit, stretch, align, and secure fabric, leather, and other upholstery materials to wood furniture frames.
- Operate hand tools, pneumatic tools, staple guns, and other upholstery equipment safely and efficiently.
- Read and follow production tickets, work instructions, and product specifications.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets LEE Industries' quality and craftsmanship standards.
- Maintain production goals while producing exceptional workmanship.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives by maintaining efficient workflow and reducing waste.
- Cross-train in other upholstery and production departments as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of upholstery experience in furniture manufacturing.
- Experience upholstering sofas, chairs, sectionals, ottomans, and other upholstered furniture.
- Proficiency using hand tools, pneumatic tools, air tools, and staple guns.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift.
- Frequent use of hands, wrists, arms, and shoulders throughout the workday.
- Ability to operate hand tools, air tools, pneumatic tools, and staple guns for extended periods.
- Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull materials and furniture components weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Perform repetitive motions while maintaining quality and production standards.
