JOB TITLE: Formaris CAD Tech

LOCATION: Plant 5 Corporate Campus
SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY: We are seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable CAD Technician to join our Product Development team. This role is centered around the use of Formaris (Lectra Software) for digital pattern development and requires deep knowledge of the software’s capabilities, especially in fabric variant configuration and technical pattern management. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring high-quality, production-ready digital patterns by bridging the gap between design, development, and manufacturing.
Overtime may be required beyond the posted work schedule and may vary on a weekly basis.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Import fabric patterns into Formaris (Lectra) from other product development software such as AutoCAD.
- Establish and manage link points, grading variants, and size variants, taking into consideration fabric widths and product specifications.
- Develop accurate and production-ready digital patterns aligned with product development standards and manufacturing requirements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, development, and manufacturing teams to ensure pattern accuracy and usability.
- Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and handle various day-to-day tasks with efficiency.
- Support the Custom Division in creating and modifying highly detailed patterns to meet individual customer specifications and ensure top-tier quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve patterning or digital drafting issues as they arise, maintaining consistent documentation and file management practices.
- Ensure that all patterns comply with internal fit, grading, and quality standards.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Inside Upholstery experience preferred
- Cushion/Poly experience is a plus
- Knowledge of Spring Up Development (8 way hand tie, sinuous, webbing)
- AutoCAD or equivalent (minimum 2 years)
- Solid Works or Solid Edge experience (minimum 2 years)
- Strong communication skills and interactive capabilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with daily interruptions
- Flexible to work on multiple and varying tasks at the same time, sometimes with conflicting deadlines
- Flexible and willing to continue skill development, as well as teach others your skills
- A natural self-starter who follows the tasks to end
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Proven expertise in Formaris (Lectra Software) – advanced user level required.
- Experience with AutoCAD or other product development CAD tools.
- Strong understanding of pattern grading, sizing, and fabric width variation implications.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with custom or made-to-measure is a plus.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
EFFORT:
- Able to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs.
- Able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
