Summary: The Assistant Production Audio Supervisor assists the Production Audio Supervisor by working with the Sound Designer and production team during preproduction and assigned event load-ins to design and install all audio systems by railroad safety standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Work with the Production Audio Supervisor, Sound Designer, Production Managers, and production staff to oversee the prep, install, and maintenance of audio systems
Assist in the creation of all necessary documentation for the onsite audio crews to load in audio equipment
Work with the production staff during load out to see that the event space is returned appropriately
Oversee that the audio systems are maintained with artistic integrity throughout the event
Work with the production staff during technical rehearsals to incorporate last-minute changes
Communicate regularly with the REP staff with regards to creative and practical ideas and decisions as well as project statuses
Assist in creating shop orders for audio equipment
Assist in overseeing all shop prep of equipment to create working sound systems based on the designer’s specifications
Support and train local crew operators and production teams for each assigned venue
Become knowledgeable with all of the REP policies and procedures as well as the REP-owned assets and equipment.
Become familiar with railroad safety rules
Work with the entire event team to maintain a positive, enjoyable, and rewarding environment for all staff and guests

Education, Skill & Work Experience Requirements
Experience as a theatrical technician, specifically an Audio Supervisor
Experience with Dante. NOTE: Level 1 certification of Audinate Dante required prior to start of employment
Experience with RF systems and Wireless Workbench
Experience with QSC Q-SYS software. NOTE: Level 1 certification of Q-SYS required prior to start of employment
Experience with computer networking hardware and software
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in written form
Work Environment
Majority of time spent in a train car setting
Varied schedules requiring evenings, weekends, overtime, and holidays
Able to stand for prolonged periods of time
Varying temperatures and weather conditions; both indoor and outdoor
Able to stand and walk on uneven or unsteady surfaces aboard a moving train
Time spent in and around active railroad yard(s)
