Job Summary
The Cashier plays a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences at Old Tucson by providing friendly, accurate, and efficient customer service in our food and beverage areas. Under the direction of the Food and Beverage Supervisor, the Cashier is responsible for greeting guests, processing food and beverage transactions, communicating orders to kitchen staff, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in guest service areas. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude upon entry.
Assist customers in placing orders and answer questions about the menu with enthusiasm and product knowledge.
Accurately ring up food and beverage orders, process cash and credit card transactions, and issue receipts.
Communicate orders clearly to kitchen staff, noting any special requests or dietary restrictions.
Suggest alternative menu items to accommodate food allergies or dietary needs.
Assist guests with seating and help carry food or beverages as needed.
Ensure customer areas are clean and well-stocked, including utensils, condiments, and napkins.
Respond to guest requests, such as locating restrooms, providing booster seats, or other needs.
Maintain cleanliness of the service area, including sweeping, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, and washing dishes.
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe environment.
Support other team members and departments as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Food and Beverage Supervisor.
QualificationsEducation, Skill and Work Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
1+ years of experience working in a multi dining restaurant concept.
Previous food service experience.
Experience handling cash and using credit card processing machines.
Culinary school or food industry-specific experience.
Excellent customer service skills.
Physical stamina to withstand a full shift potentially on their feet.
Work Environment
Time spent in a kitchen environment
Ability to pull, push, and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
Ability to stand for extended periods
Extended and irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays (required)
