Groundskeeper
About this role
- Perform daily maintenance activities including mowing greens, tees, fairways, and rough
- Assist with irrigation system operation, inspection, and basic repairs
- Rake bunkers, edge cart paths, trim landscaping, and maintain clubhouse grounds
- Support seeding, fertilizing, aeration, topdressing, and turf renovation projects
- Remove debris and ensure course cleanliness and safety
- Operate and maintain hand tools, small equipment, and riding machinery safely
- Follow established maintenance schedules and safety procedures
- Report course conditions, equipment issues, or hazards to supervisors
- Assist with storm cleanup, special projects, and seasonal course preparation
- Uphold environmental stewardship practices and water conservation standards
- Deliver friendly, professional interactions with guests when encountered on course
- Previous golf course or landscape maintenance experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Physical capability to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods
- Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Basic understanding of turf care practices or eagerness to learn
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license may be required depending on location
- Outdoor environment with exposure to heat, cold, rain, and sun
- Physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds, prolonged standing/walking, and repetitive motions
- Early morning shifts common to support course operations
- Operation of mechanical equipment and tools
- Schedule may include weekends and holidays
