Bartender/Server
About this role
- Welcome guests and members with a friendly, professional, and service-oriented attitude.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and provide menu recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Prepare, mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company recipes and responsible alcohol service standards.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
- Verify guest age and identification before serving alcoholic beverages in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
- Monitor guests throughout service and promote responsible alcohol consumption.
- Process cash, credit card, and other point-of-sale transactions accurately.
- Maintain bar, dining, and service areas in a clean, organized, and sanitary condition.
- Restock beverages, garnishes, glassware, and service supplies throughout each shift.
- Collaborate with kitchen and fellow team members to ensure timely service and resolve guest concerns.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
- Support banquet, tournament, or special event operations as assigned.
- Perform opening, closing, side work, and other duties as assigned.
- Must meet the minimum legal age requirements to serve alcoholic beverages in accordance with state law.
- TABC Certification or other applicable state alcohol service certification required, as applicable.
- Previous serving, bartending, or hospitality experience preferred.
- Knowledge of food service, beverage preparation, wine, beer, spirits, and responsible alcohol service practices.
- Excellent guest service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience handling cash, credit card transactions, and point-of-sale systems.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to operate bar and restaurant equipment including beverage dispensers, coffee equipment, blenders, ice machines, dishwashers, and point-of-sale systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Schedule varies based on business needs and includes evenings, weekends, holidays, tournaments, and special events.
- Regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30–50 pounds, including trays, beverage cases, kegs, or bar supplies.
- Work is performed in a fast-paced restaurant, clubhouse, banquet, and bar environment with frequent interaction with guests and team members.
- Exposure to varying temperatures, cleaning chemicals, hot surfaces, sharp objects, glassware, food preparation areas, and moderate to loud noise levels.
