Get to Know the Role:
As a Creative Recruiter, you will serve as a strategic talent partner and brand ambassador responsible for driving the full-cycle recruitment of creative and technical talent across all fashion, design, and production functions for all AEO brands. Sitting at the intersection of business needs and creative vision, you will partner closely with hiring managers and HR business partners to identify and hire top-tier talent for New York Design Office-based roles. The ideal candidate is resourceful, resilient, and relationship driven, with an ambition to build strong talent pipelines and consistently deliver top creative talent to the business.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Own full-cycle recruitment for Design, Technical Design & Production positions, from intake through offer acceptance.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and quickly deliver qualified candidate slates.
  • Conduct extensive direct sourcing, networking, market mapping, and competitive talent research to uncover passive candidates.
  • Generate candidate flow through proactive outreach, referrals, industry networking, social recruiting, and talent community engagement.
  • Screen, assess, and present candidates with a focus on New York Design Office based roles.
  • Portfolio Review: review design portfolios with a discerning eye, assessing skill, potential and brand alignment.
  • Build and maintain active talent pipelines across Fashion Design, Technical Design, Graphic Design, Textile Design, Print & Color, CAD Design, Production functions.
  • Act as an industry talent advisor to our internal team: stay current on industry trends, key competitors, talent movement, and emerging design talent.
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Recruit within other areas of the business as needed.

 

What You Bring:

  • 2 to 4 years of full-cycle recruiting experience with a significant focus on Design or Creative TA.
  • Demonstrated success sourcing and recruiting high-performing design talent within apparel, fashion, or retail organizations.
  • Knowledgeable in sourcing tools, Boolean search techniques, LinkedIn Recruiter, networking, and talent mapping methodologies.
  • Experience working within an ATS system preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously in a fast-paced, nuanced environment.
  • Strong candidate assessment, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work a hybrid in office schedule - average 3 days in office a week.

  • Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location.
