Area Account Manager

Position Summary

We are looking for a qualified and ambitious Area Account Manager to join our team. The Area Account Manager at Ambipar Response is responsible for developing and managing long-term relationships with customers in their specific geographic region and overseeing sales with all area manufacturers, construction companies & contractors, utility companies, and municipalities. The ideal candidate will work to satisfy customers’ needs and requests, respond to queries in a timely manner, and aspire to deliver a positive customer experience.

Essential Job Functions

  • Participates in weekly sales meetings to prospect and schedule in-person meetings with potential clients in the assigned area.
  • Manages a diverse portfolio of existing client accounts through regular communication, site visits, and proactive outreach.
  • Identifies and pursues new business opportunities within the territory by developing sales strategies, expanding existing accounts, and acquiring new clients to achieve sales targets.
  • Conducts daily cold calls, pop-in visits, and presentations to drive company growth.
  • Develops and implements business development campaign ideas.
  • Leverages existing industry contacts to identify and secure new business opportunities.
  • Networks and builds strong relationships with potential clients.
  • Prepares and submits proposals/quotes to align with client expectations.
  • Generates accurate invoices to ensure timely revenue collection and optimize sales commissions.
  • Maintains up-to-date records of client information, interactions, proposals, invoices, and sales KPIs in the company CRM system.
  • Monitors market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify opportunities and mitigate risks within the region.
  • Resolves customer concerns, addresses issues, and provides ongoing support throughout the sales cycle.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience.
  • Territory management expertise to effectively cover assigned geographic area
  • Results, goal-oriented, and detail-oriented account managers with a competitive mindset
  • Passionate about problem-solving, working with people, and closing deals
  • Thrives when given freedom and autonomy
  • Proven track record of exceeding expectations in challenging environments
  • Strong sales acumen and ability to close deals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients
  • Excellent customer services and sales support skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software

Preferred Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Communications or a related field from an accredited college or university.

Work Schedule

The standard working hours are 8 AM – 4 PM but may vary depending on the customer and project. This candidate should be willing and available to work overtime as needed to meet project demands and deadlines, including weekends and holidays when necessary.
