Amazon has exciting opportunities for leaders in Operations and Supply Chain Program Management within our rapidly expanding Sub Same Day (SSD) network in Japan. 【Role Summary】

This role presents a unique opportunity to drive Amazon's ambitious goals for expanding and optimizing our SSD network in Japan. The successful candidate will lead programs, partnerships, and innovations to strategically grow our Sub Same Day delivery capabilities, ensuring best-in-class speed, coverage, and customer experience. You will drive robust planning processes and data-driven decision-making to create a positive impact on Amazon's SSD offerings in Japan through operational and supply chain optimization.

You will partner closely with multiple functional teams and stakeholder groups, including Supply Chain, Tech teams, Transportation Network Planning, Middle Mile teams, Finance, and Retail Delivery Experience. The ability to influence without authority and execute with speed will be critical to success in this role.

The ideal candidate should possess:
• A successful track record of managing complex operational or supply chain programs in fulfillment, logistics, or network planning
• Strong analytical and business acumen with a focus on flow optimization and operational design
• Experience in managing multiple stakeholder teams simultaneously
• Impactful communication skills

Key job responsibilities
• Drive initiatives that optimize how selection reaches SSD nodes — including flow design, replenishment planning, and inventory positioning strategies
• Work with operations, supply chain, inbound planning, finance, tech, and delivery experience teams to prioritize and implement network optimization plans and performance improvements
• Conduct comprehensive analysis of network and supply chain performance to identify improvement opportunities and inform planning decisions
• Develop and execute SSD network expansion strategies, set priorities, and communicate effectively across business partners and stakeholders
• Translate customer needs, market trends, and business requirements into a logical sequence for network expansion, mapping our roadmap and program initiatives to measurable business value
• Collaborate with Retail and Supply Chain organizations to understand and measure the impact of network optimization efforts on overall SSD speed and selection
• Partner with teams across various regions and geographies to understand, adapt, and implement best practices for SSD network design and optimization in Japan
• Design and conduct pilot projects to test new network configurations, gather learnings, and implement the most feasible, cost-effective, and scalable solutions for SSD network growth
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and efficiency gains in network design, working across stakeholder functions to execute initiatives at scale
• Collaborate with business analytics and customer delivery experience teams to develop and standardize KPIs, reports, and reviews that drive effective network performance
• Establish and maintain strong mechanisms to manage quantitative and qualitative performance metrics for network effectiveness, ensuring continuous improvement in SSD operations Basic Qualifications: - Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in Business English skills, both verbal and written
- 5+ years of delivering cross functional projects experience Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in supply chain such as contracting, demand management and/or planning and procurement, and supply chain operations
- Experience communicating effectively with senior leadership
- Experience in operations management for a fulfillment or distribution center
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience in capacity planning, operations planning, business analysis or equivalent
- Business level of Japanese
