Act as a single-threaded owner responsible for the execution, and delivery of straightforward risk (e.g.,
financial, regulatory, Amazon policy and business continuity).
• Analyze & recommend, develop, and implement solutions and programs that guide the organization in driving automation and data governance
• Performs deep dives, documents findings and shares the reports with leadership.
• Identifies technology gaps and work with tech teams on solutions.
• Conducts effective communication of results and updates to stakeholders.
• Drives broader risk mitigation activities by working with other teams such as Internal Audit, Tech, FinOps, Engineering, Business etc.
• Drive AI native solutions to drive process efficiency

About the team
Amazon WW Transport Controllership Audit team is an operation finance team that controls Amazon's transportation cost. This is achieved through strengthening internal & external systems by working closely with multiple internal stakeholders such as Operations, Procurement, Technology groups and external stakeholders such as carriers. Audit Team also works closely with Accounts Payable for payments to carriers and Finance team for financial data reporting. WW Transportation Controllership Audit Team is looking for a Risk Manager Basic Qualifications: - 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience
- Experience establishing successful partnerships with internal and external teams to execute tactical initiatives or equivalent
- Experience in program requirements definition, together with data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements
- 4+ years of experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience in SQL Server/MySQL and experience managing stacks through custom applications Preferred Qualifications: - Experience communicating to senior management and customers verbally and in writing
- Experience in accounts receivable or account payable, or experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
- Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
- Experience in any of the following: Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Bash, Shell or equivalent
- PMP certificate, or MBA in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field
