About this role

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled furniture production specialist to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, assembling, and upholstering high-quality sofas, loveseats, recliners, and other upholstered furniture products.

Job Duties:

  • Construct and assemble wooden frames for sofas, loveseats, recliners, and stationary/motion furniture

  • Interpret technical drawings, production blueprints, and design specifications to fabricate finished furniture products

  • Perform precision cutting, shaping, joining, and finishing of wood components

  • Carry out upholstery work including leather and fabric covering, foam fitting, and trimming

  • Troubleshoot production and assembly issues related to frames, upholstery, and mechanical components

  • Operate and maintain woodworking and upholstery machinery used in furniture production

  • Ensure product quality meets company and customer standards throughout all production stages

  • Train and guide new employees in furniture production techniques and assembly processes

  • Support production workflow including both assembly line and custom hand-built furniture production

  • Collaborate with design and production teams to improve efficiency and product quality

  • Maintain workplace safety and proper handling of tools and materials

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years experience in furniture manufacturing, upholstery, or woodworking

  • Experience with sofa, chair, or recliner production preferred

  • Ability to read technical drawings and production specifications

  • Skilled in both woodworking and upholstery techniques

  • Experience operating industrial woodworking and upholstery machinery

  • Strong attention to detail and quality control

  • Ability to train junior workers is an asset

Languages: English is required, Mandarin is an asset.

Education: Completion of secondary school is an asset.
