Position Summary

The Housekeeping Rooms Experience Specialist plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas of the hotel are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation in alignment with the Loden’s luxury service standards. Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, this role supports the overall housekeeping operations and contributes to the comfort and satisfaction of guests through meticulous attention to detail and proactive service. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of the hotel’s facilities, policies, and service expectations, and demands a consistently high level of professionalism in interactions with both guests and team members.

Position Responsibilities

  • Maintain a calm, professional demeanor with a positive attitude; demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic environment.
  • Complete daily housekeeping task lists independently such as making beds, vacuuming, linens, cleaning bathrooms, ensuring all work aligns with Loden’s luxury service standards and housekeeping task guidelines.
  • Follow housekeeping time task guidelines and lost & found procedures correctly.
  • Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, reporting any deficiencies to management.
  • Maintain hotel knowledge, such as hotel facilities, policies, service expectations, etc.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team, always ensuring safe work practices in accordance with WorkSafe BC are upheld.
  • Collaborate with other departments to assist with tasks such as Valet.
  • Attend departmental and general hotel meetings as required.
  • Other duties as required.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Education: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required. Post-secondary education is considered an asset.
  • Experience: Hotel experience, preferably in a luxury or boutique hotel setting, is an asset but not a requirement.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a natural ability to connect with guests and create meaningful experiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize workload.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and professional demeanor.
  • Passion for hospitality and a genuine desire to exceed guest expectations.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and peak periods.
  • A valid driver’s license and abstract is required.
  • Must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 23 kg.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to stand, lift, carry, push/pull and transport items up to 25 lbs., including housekeeping carts, vacuums, and other service-related equipment.

Work Schedule

This position may be part-time or full-time and generally consists of eight-hour shifts. Flexible scheduling is available by mutual agreement, and weekend work may be required.
