About the Role:

The Hardgoods and Tag Clerk plays a critical role in supporting the operational efficiency of agricultural supply chains by managing inventory and ensuring accurate tagging of hardgoods. This position is responsible for maintaining detailed records of incoming and outgoing products, facilitating smooth tracking and accountability within the warehouse or distribution center. The role requires close collaboration with procurement, logistics, and sales teams to ensure that all hardgoods are properly labeled and documented according to company and regulatory standards. By accurately managing tags and inventory data, the clerk helps prevent losses, supports compliance, and enhances overall supply chain transparency. Ultimately, this position contributes to the seamless delivery of agricultural products and equipment, supporting the broader goals of the agriculture, forestry, fishing, and hunting industries across the United States.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic experience with inventory management or warehouse operations.
  • Familiarity with tagging and labeling procedures.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems for data entry and inventory tracking.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the agriculture, forestry, fishing, or hunting industries.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations related to product tagging and inventory control.
  • Experience with warehouse management software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Ability to operate barcode scanners and other inventory tracking technology.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming hardgoods shipments against purchase orders and delivery documents.
  • Accurately tag and label all hardgoods according to company protocols and industry regulations.
  • Maintain and update inventory records in the warehouse management system to reflect current stock levels and locations.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate dispatch of tagged goods.
  • Conduct regular audits of tagged items to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Assist in resolving discrepancies related to inventory counts, tags, or shipment documentation.
  • Support the implementation of process improvements to enhance tagging accuracy and inventory management.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors to facilitate smooth operations.
