About the Role:

The Availability/Inventory Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless management and oversight of inventory levels and product availability within the agriculture, forestry, fishing, and hunting industry. This position is responsible for coordinating inventory control processes to optimize stock levels, reduce waste, and meet operational demands efficiently. The supervisor will lead a team to monitor supply chain activities, forecast inventory needs, and implement strategies that align with business objectives. By maintaining accurate records and analyzing inventory data, the role supports decision-making that enhances productivity and customer satisfaction. Ultimately, the Availability/Inventory Supervisor ensures that resources are available when needed, contributing to the overall success and sustainability of the organization’s operations across the United States.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in supply chain management, agriculture business, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in inventory management or supply chain operations, preferably within the agriculture, forestry, fishing, or hunting sectors.
• Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and lead a team effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external partners.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, agriculture, business administration, or a related discipline.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of agricultural supply chain dynamics and regulatory requirements.
• Certification in inventory management or supply chain (e.g., APICS CPIM or CSCP).
• Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements and lead change management initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily inventory management activities, including tracking stock levels, ordering, and replenishment to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
• Lead and train inventory staff to maintain accurate records and follow best practices in inventory control and availability management.
• Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to forecast demand and adjust inventory plans accordingly.
• Analyze inventory data and generate reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvements.
• Implement and maintain inventory control systems and procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply chain issues.
• Monitor and manage inventory costs, working to optimize budget allocation and reduce waste.
• Support audits and inventory reconciliations to maintain data integrity and operational transparency.
