About the Role:

The Availability/Inventory Manager in the agriculture, forestry, fishing, and hunting industry plays a critical role in ensuring that all necessary materials, products, and resources are available to meet operational demands efficiently. This position is responsible for overseeing inventory levels, managing supply chain logistics, and coordinating with various departments to forecast needs accurately. The manager will implement strategies to optimize stock levels, reduce waste, and improve overall availability of goods, thereby supporting uninterrupted production and distribution processes. By analyzing inventory data and market trends, the role contributes to cost control and enhances the responsiveness of the supply chain. Ultimately, the Availability/Inventory Manager ensures that the organization maintains a balanced inventory that supports sustainable growth and operational excellence across all agricultural and natural resource activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Agriculture Business, Logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory management or supply chain roles within the agriculture or related industries.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of agricultural supply chains and seasonal demand fluctuations.
• Certification in supply chain management or inventory control (e.g., APICS CPIM or CSCP).
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to agricultural products and safety standards.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams or projects in a related environment.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials, equipment, and finished products to ensure availability aligns with production schedules and demand forecasts.
• Develop and maintain inventory control systems and procedures to track stock movements, minimize losses, and optimize storage space.
• Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to coordinate timely ordering, delivery, and distribution of supplies.
• Analyze inventory data and market trends to forecast future needs and adjust inventory policies accordingly.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy, reduce carrying costs, and improve supply chain efficiency.
• Prepare regular reports on inventory status, availability metrics, and key performance indicators for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies related to inventory management and safety standards.
