POSITION SUMMARY:
Sugarbush Resort is seeking Terrain Park Groomer to join our team for the winter season! Terrain Park Groomers are responsible for the construction, maintenance, and daily repair of Sugarbush Resorts terrain parks. Groomers ensure that our terrain parks maximize the resort's resources in order to meet the needs and wants of a diverse mix of abilities and skier/rider types.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operation of a Snow cat, pre and post shift machine inspections
- Communication with Vehicle Maintenance department
- Upkeep and inspection of the parks
- Ensure grooming is done in consideration of the safety of skiers and boarders
- Opening and closing of the terrain parks
- Providing support for park-related events
- Meet daily with staff before and after certain shifts to discuss the team's goals, objectives
- Provide a safe, motivated, positive, productive, and successful working environment.
- Provide Parks Manager and Supervisor with appropriate, effective and accurate daily reporting
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record.
- A strong background pertaining to terrain parks, park skiing and riding is required.
- Must have an outgoing, friendly, guest-service-focused attitude.
- Must be able to work long shifts and operate a variety of types of snow cats.
- Must be able to install and remove rails.
- Proficient in rebuilding small and medium-sized jumps.
