Our client is a leading express delivery and logistics company in Vietnam, seeking experienced professionals to join their organization.
JOB OVERVIEW
Responsible for ensuring the safe, seamless, and cost-efficient operation of the company’s transportation system and driver workforce, while meeting business requirements in a timely manner and continuously improving overall operational efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Fleet Operations Management & Coordination
- Manage the overall operations of a large vehicle fleet across multiple locations.
- Coordinate vehicle deployment based on operational requirements across different routes to optimize fleet utilization and capacity.
- Maintain and regularly update detailed vehicle information, including vehicle condition, operating history, maintenance schedules, and registration or inspection validity.
- Handle operational incidents such as accidents, vehicle breakdowns, and other transportation disruptions in a timely and effective manner.
- Work closely with relevant departments to ensure smooth and uninterrupted transportation operations.
Driver Management & Training
- Manage both direct and indirect driver teams through team leaders and appropriate supervisory structures.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to organize periodic training and guidance for drivers on operational procedures, safety requirements, and pre-departure vehicle inspection standards.
- Monitor driver compliance with operational procedures and transportation requirements.
Performance Analysis & Cost Optimization
- Analyze transportation performance and route profitability, including profit and loss performance, and recommend appropriate cost optimization initiatives.
- Monitor and evaluate key fleet performance indicators, including fuel consumption, operational costs, and vehicle utilization efficiency.
- Identify and recommend improvement initiatives to enhance overall operational performance and minimize unnecessary expenses.
Strategic Fleet Planning
- Develop short-term, medium-term, and long-term plans for fleet operations.
- Provide recommendations related to vehicle purchasing, leasing, outsourcing, and fleet disposal based on operational and business requirements.
Requirements
- College or Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Automotive Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in fleet management, transportation operations, or a similar position.
- Experience managing a large-scale vehicle fleet is required.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of fleet operations and transportation management.
Skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate operational data and identify cost optimization opportunities.
- Strong coordination skills with the ability to respond quickly and effectively to operational issues.
- Good team management skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or fleet management software.
- Ability and willingness to travel for business purposes when required.
