Job DetailsJob Location: Philadelphia, PA - Philadelphia, PA 19154Nexora is seeking a Power BI Developer to join the Commercial Excellence team. This role owns the full lifecycle of Power BI reporting and dashboard delivery from scoping requirements with internal customers through to building, maintaining, and auditing dashboards. This role is focused exclusively on the Power BI layer (report/dashboard development, data modeling within Power BI, DAX, visualization design, and governance) and does not cover data warehouse architecture, ETL/ELT pipeline development, or upstream data engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Analytics & Business Insights
Working with internal customers to scope the design, development, and evolution of commercial analytics supporting sales decision-making across the enterprise, including:

Establish and maintain a standardized commercial analytics foundation supporting:

All Commercial and Operational performance and productivity,
Working with IT Datawarehouse developers to feed North American Data Lake feeding PBI,
Good Business/Financial Acumen required for thought provoking solution architecting and prioritization of the open build pipeline.

Define a clear commercial KPI framework in partnership with Finance and IT, ensuring:

Consistent definitions across BUs,
Establishment of Single-Source of Truth and confidence in data accuracy and reconciliation,
Alignment between executive, BU, and frontline views.

Lead the development and prioritization of analytics and dashboards (Power BI and CRM-embedded) tailored to:

Executive leadership (enterprise-level visibility),
BU and sales leadership (performance management),
Frontline sellers and managers (daily execution),
Ingestion of other data sources to provide next-level insights across the business.

Translate complex datasets into clear, decision-oriented insights, highlighting not just “what happened,” but “how, where, and why to act.”
Continuously improve insight relevance by grounding analytics in real sales questions and field feedback rather than static reporting requirements.
Ensure analytics outputs are intuitive, consumable, and designed for speed of interpretation in live sales and leadership environments.
End-to-End Analytics and Insights must include sales and leadership teams trust of the numbers, understand the drivers behind the numbers, culminating in a single source of truth strategizing their operating rhythm and not as retrospective reporting.
Partner with internal stakeholders to gather and define reporting requirements
Translate business questions into clear dashboard/report specifications
Prioritize and manage a backlog of Power BI requests across internal teams
Run discovery sessions to clarify KPIs, metrics, and intended audience for each report

Power BI Development

Design, build, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards end-to-end
Develop and optimize data models within Power BI (star schemas, relationships, calculated tables)
Write and maintain DAX measures, calculated columns, and calculation groups
Build reusable templates, themes, and visualization standards for consistency across the organization
Configure Power BI datasets, dataflows (within Power BI Service), and scheduled refreshes
Manage row-level security (RLS) and access controls on published reports
Publish and maintain workspaces, apps, and content distribution in the Power BI Service

Dashboard Governance

Conduct regular audits of existing Power BI dashboards for accuracy, performance, and adherence to design standards
Identify and remediate broken visuals, outdated logic, orphaned reports, or unused datasets
Maintain an inventory/catalog of active dashboards, owners, and refresh schedules
Monitor report performance (load times, query efficiency) and optimize as needed
Establish and enforce naming conventions, documentation standards, and version control practices for Power BI content
Review and validate DAX logic and data accuracy against source of truth

Collaboration & Support

Provide training and light enablement to internal customers on self-service Power BI usage
Troubleshoot report issues and respond to ad hoc requests from business users
Document report logic, data lineage (within Power BI), and business definitions for maintained dashboards

QualificationsRequirements

3+ years of experience developing in Power BI (Desktop and Service)
Strong command of DAX and Power BI data modeling best practices
Experience with Power Query (M) for report-level data shaping
Demonstrated experience gathering requirements directly from business/internal stakeholders
Experience auditing or governing a portfolio of BI reports at scale
Familiarity with RLS, workspace/app management, and Power BI administration basics
Strong communication skills; comfortable working directly with non-technical stakeholders
