Senior Manager, HR Operations
About this role
The Allegro team is united by a clear purpose—advancing technologies that make the world safer, more efficient, and more sustainable. With over 30 years of experience in semiconductor innovation, we bring that purpose to life across every part of the business—from breakthrough product development and customer success to how we show up for each other and the communities we serve.
The Opportunity
This is a builder role. You will stand up and scale the HR Operations function that supports Allegro’s continued growth—designing the service model, hardening controls, and modernizing how HR work gets done (including with AI). If you like taking a function from good to great, owning the operational backbone end-to-end, and working across the full HR stack, this role is for you.
The Senior Manager, HR Operations is responsible for leading the delivery, governance, and continuous improvement of core HR operational processes. Serving as HR's operational backbone, this leader ensures employee data integrity, efficient transaction execution, strong controls, and an exceptional employee and manager experience.
This hands-on leader balances strategic process improvement with operational execution. You will partner across HR COEs, Payroll, Legal, Finance, and HR Technology to build a scalable, modernized service delivery model that supports Allegro’s growth.
What You Will Do
HR Operations Leadership & Service Delivery: Lead day-to-day execution of HR processes across the employee lifecycle (hires, job changes, leaves, terminations). Establish clear service delivery standards, roles, and escalation paths to ensure consistent, timely, and accurate support.
Process Governance & Standardization: Design, document, and continuously improve standard operating procedures (SOPs). Drive consistency in HR transactions globally while accommodating legitimate local requirements. Establish internal controls to reduce errors, improve audit readiness, and strengthen data quality.
Workday & Systems Modernization: Partner with HR Technology to manage Workday and related HR systems. Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks and reduce transactional burden, including the applied use of AI and workflow automation tools.
Data Integrity & Reporting: Own high standards for employee data accuracy and completeness. Support HR audits and compliance by maintaining precise records. Develop and monitor operational metrics and dashboards (SLA adherence, transaction volumes, and bottlenecks).
Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure global operations comply with applicable laws, data privacy standards, and internal controls. Partner with Legal, Payroll, Finance, and Internal Audit to mitigate operational risks and maintain audit-ready documentation.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Build a service-oriented model that clarifies ownership between strategic and operational work. Act as a key liaison across Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, HR Tech, Talent, and HRBPs to resolve inquiries efficiently.
Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement: Lead, coach, and develop a team of HR Operations professionals. Set high standards for quality, accountability, and customer focus. Identify low-value manual work and proactively drive recommendations for process redesign and automation.
What You Will Need
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
10-12 years of experience in HR Operations, HR Shared Services, HRIS operations, or related HR functional leadership roles.
Prior people leadership experience, including managing supervisors or senior professional staff, with budget or resource-planning responsibility.
Strong hands-on experience with Workday.
Demonstrated track record of improving HR processes, service delivery, and controls, including through automation and AI where applicable.
Strong understanding of HR data governance, compliance, and audit requirements.
Ability to partner effectively across Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, HR Technology, Talent, and HRBP functions.
Excellent project management, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a global company with multi-region HR operations.
Experience standing up or transforming an HR Operations or Shared Services model.
Deep Workday business process, reporting, or operations experience.
Experience supporting audits, controls, and compliance-driven HR processes.
PMP certification or familiarity with project management tools (Smartsheet) or frameworks (RACI, Kanban).
