STRATEGIC

  • Support the Assistant Manager – Quality Control in developing and executing the quality strategy aligned with AG Metal Industries' business objectives, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive a culture of quality excellence, continuous improvement, and operational discipline across ACP manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure the organization's quality management systems, processes, and controls remain aligned with international standards, industry best practices, and certification requirements.
  • Lead quality initiatives aimed at improving product reliability, fire-safety compliance, process capability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify quality risks across manufacturing processes and develop preventive strategies to mitigate potential operational and customer impacts.
  • Support the development and implementation of quality objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and annual improvement plans.
  • Provide technical leadership on quality matters related to coil coating, paint systems, lamination, bonding technologies, and finished ACP products.
  • Drive root cause elimination programs to reduce defects, waste, rework, customer complaints, and cost of poor quality.
  • Support supplier quality development initiatives to ensure consistency of incoming raw materials and improve overall supply chain quality performance.
  • Lead and support ISO certification programs, management system improvements, and organizational audit readiness.
  • Monitor emerging industry trends, technological advancements, fire-safety regulations, and quality standards to recommend improvements in products, processes, and testing methodologies.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, R&D, Procurement, and Project teams to ensure quality requirements are integrated into new products, process modifications, and operational improvements.
  • Contribute to management review meetings by providing quality performance insights, risk assessments, audit findings, and improvement recommendations.
  • Support business growth initiatives by ensuring compliance with customer specifications, project requirements, international certifications, and product qualification standards.

 

OPERATIONAL

  • Ensure compliance of ACP products with applicable international quality, fire-safety, and performance standards.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor quality control procedures, inspection plans, and testing protocols throughout manufacturing operations.
  • Supervise quality inspections for incoming raw materials including aluminum coils, coatings, paints, adhesives, core materials, films, and packaging materials.
  • Monitor and control coil coating, painting, curing, lamination, bonding, cutting, finishing, and packaging processes to ensure product conformity.
  • Review and approve inspection and test reports, quality records, certificates of analysis, and product release documentation.
  • Conduct routine process audits and product quality assessments to verify compliance with specifications and customer requirements.
  • Investigate production defects, quality deviations, customer complaints, and product failures using structured root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Initiate, track, and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Corrective Action Requests (CARs), and Preventive Action Requests (PARs).
  • Lead containment actions and corrective measures to minimize quality risks and production losses.
  • Coordinate laboratory testing and product validation activities related to coating performance, adhesion, flexibility, gloss, color consistency, corrosion resistance, weathering, and fire performance.
  • Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of quality inspection and testing equipment.
  • Monitor production quality KPIs and prepare quality performance reports for management review.
  • Verify compliance with approved manufacturing specifications, project requirements, and customer-approved samples.
  • Support project execution teams by ensuring quality requirements are incorporated throughout project delivery stages.
  • Participate in factory acceptance tests (FAT), customer inspections, consultant audits, and product qualification activities.
  • Ensure traceability of materials, processes, inspections, and finished products.
  • Review and approve product release prior to dispatch.
  • Support certification maintenance activities related to ACP products and fire-rated systems.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the organization's Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Actively support and coordinate ISO certification requirements including ISO 9001 and other applicable management systems.
  • Plan, conduct, and participate in internal quality audits.
  • Coordinate external audits conducted by certification bodies, regulatory authorities, consultants, and customers.
  • Ensure closure of audit findings and implementation of corrective actions within agreed timelines.
  • Maintain quality documentation, procedures, work instructions, quality manuals, and audit records.
  • Monitor compliance with documented processes and quality standards across manufacturing operations.
  • Conduct awareness sessions and quality training programs related to ISO requirements and quality best practices.

 

PRODUCT/PROCESS IMPROVEMENT

  • Identify opportunities to improve product quality, process capability, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Analyze quality trends, process data, customer feedback, and defect patterns to drive improvement initiatives.
  • Lead root cause investigations using methodologies such as 8D, Fishbone Analysis, 5 Why Analysis, FMEA, and CAPA.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Procurement, and R&D teams to implement sustainable process improvements.
  • Support qualification and approval of new raw materials, suppliers, coatings, paints, adhesives, and manufacturing technologies.
  • Participate in new product development, product testing, and product certification programs.
  • Recommend process optimization initiatives that improve quality consistency and reduce waste, rework, and customer complaints.
  • Establish preventive quality controls to enhance process reliability and product performance.

 

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

  • Supervise and guide Quality Inspectors, QC Technicians, and quality support personnel.
  • Allocate daily inspection activities and ensure effective utilization of QC resources.
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring to team members.
  • Conduct performance monitoring and competency development activities within the QC team.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and operational procedures among quality personnel.
  • Foster a culture of quality ownership, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Identify training needs and facilitate technical skill development programs.

 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Master's degree in quality management, Materials Engineering, or related field will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 8–12 years of quality control and quality assurance experience in manufacturing industries.
  • At least 5 years of experience in ACP manufacturing, metal industry, coating industry, paint industry, composite/sandwich panel, aluminum processing, or related manufacturing environments.
  • Proven experience in paints, metals, and polymers, covering color, coating line, shade matching, coil coating, paint quality control, lamination processes, and surface finishing operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing ISO audits, customer audits, and certification audits.
  • Experience in handling customer complaints, NCRs, CAPA, and quality improvement projects.
  • Experience leading quality teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to fire-rated ACP products and related testing standards will be highly advantageous.
  • Valid UAE Driving License required for the role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • ISO 9001 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor Certification.
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent quality certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
  • Root Cause Analysis / 8D Problem Solving Certification.
  • Quality Management Systems Training.
  • Fire Safety Testing or Product Certification related training (preferred).
