About this role
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts safely in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, and storage locations.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and pallets to designated areas.
- Stack and arrange materials properly to maximize storage space and prevent damage.
- Verify material quantities and product labels before moving goods.
- Assist with receiving and dispatch activities.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of the forklift (brakes, tires, forks, lights, horn, battery/fuel, hydraulics, etc.).
- Report equipment defects, accidents, or safety hazards immediately.
- Follow warehouse traffic rules, speed limits, and designated routes.
- Ensure materials are handled carefully to avoid product damage.
- Support inventory counts and stock movement as required.
- Maintain cleanliness of the forklift and work area.
- Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Follow FIFO/FEFO procedures where applicable.
- Coordinate with warehouse supervisors and other departments for efficient material movement.
- Complete forklift operation logs and material movement records accurately.
Safety Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-shift safety checks before operating the forklift.
- Never exceed the forklift's rated load capacity.
- Ensure loads are stable and securely positioned before transport.
- Sound the horn at blind corners and pedestrian crossings.
- Keep forks lowered while traveling without a load.
- Avoid carrying passengers unless the equipment is designed for it.
- Park the forklift safely with forks lowered, parking brake engaged, and power switched off.
- Report near misses, incidents, and unsafe conditions promptly.
Required Skills
- Valid forklift operator license/certification (as per local regulations).
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices.
- Ability to read labels, delivery documents, and inventory records.
- Good coordination, attention to detail, and safe driving skills.
- Basic communication and teamwork abilities.
- Physical fitness to work in warehouse and outdoor environments.

- Zero safety violations and accidents.
- High accuracy in material handling.
- Timely completion of loading and unloading activities.
