About this role
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily material movement between the warehouse and shop floor.
- Supervise material handlers/helpers engaged in loading, unloading, and internal material movement.
- Ensure timely issuance of raw materials and receipt of finished or returned materials.
- Coordinate with production, planning, quality, and other departments to meet operational requirements.
- Perform accurate ERP/system transactions for all material movements.
- Maintain records of material transfers, stock movements, and related documentation.
- Monitor material availability and communicate shortages or discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Ensure proper storage, identification, and handling of materials.
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices are followed where applicable.
- Support cycle counts and physical inventory activities.
- Maintain good housekeeping and ensure compliance with company safety procedures.
- Report operational issues, delays, or inventory discrepancies promptly to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Assist in implementing warehouse process improvements and maintaining inventory accuracy.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience coordinating with production/shop floor teams.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (such as Xpedeon, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
Good knowledge of warehouse documentation and inventory control.
