Foreman – Chiller Maintenance
Responsible for supervising and executing preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of water-cooled and air-cooled chillers, including associated pumps, cooling towers, expansion tanks, piping networks, and control systems. Leads and coordinates a team of HVAC technicians to ensure safe, efficient, and timely completion of maintenance activities in compliance with manufacturer recommendations and site HSE requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and supervising routine preventive maintenance (PM) of chillers and auxiliary equipment.
Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical, electrical, and control-related faults.
Monitoring system performance parameters such as suction/discharge pressure, superheat, subcooling, oil levels, and temperature differentials.
Carrying out compressor overhauling, including dismantling, inspection of internal components (valves, pistons, bearings, shafts), replacement of worn parts, reassembly, alignment, vacuuming, oil charging, and recommissioning.
Supervising refrigerant recovery, leak detection, pressure testing, and gas charging.
Coordinating chiller shutdowns and startups with minimal operational disruption.
Ensuring proper documentation of service reports, maintenance logs, and spare part consumption.
Maintaining safety compliance, permit-to-work procedures, and toolbox talks for the team.
Ensures optimal chiller efficiency, reduced downtime, and extended equipment life through proactive maintenance and effective team supervision
