About this role
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and position coils on the uncoiler using EOT crane or coil car.
- Verify coil details such as thickness, width, grade, coating requirements, and identification tags before processing.
- Perform proper coil centering, alignment, and threading through the entry section.
- Carry out end cutting, trimming, and joining (stitching) of coils to ensure continuous operation.
- Monitor entry section equipment such as uncoiler, pinch rolls, leveler, and shear.
Inspect incoming coils for surface defects, damages, rust, or oil contamination and report abnormalities.
- Ensure proper tension control and avoid coil breaks or strip deviation.
Record production data, coil details, and downtime accurately.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines at all times.
Skills & Requirements:
- Good knowledge of CCL process and coil handling.
- Ability to operate entry section equipment safely.
- Understanding of safety practices (LOTO, PPE usage).
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to identify defects and process deviations.
