Staff Fullstack Engineer

Aleph is seeking a staff-level engineer to lead platform development from the ground up. You’ll partner with the technical CEO, CTO, and engineering team to build critical software with outsized impact in an AI-focused environment. This is an early-member opportunity to shape the platform architecture and influence how we scale.

What youll do

• Work hand-in-hand with leadership and other teammates to prioritize and execute on our product roadmap.
• Design, develop and own complex features or software components.
• Deliver robust, scalable, and well-tested code.
• Help develop and establish best practices to lay the foundation for a high-performing technology team and its culture.
• Collaborate with Design and Operation teams to keep making Aleph better every day.

What Aleph is looking for

• Proficiency in full-stack development, coding full-stack features using TypeScript/JavaScript on the frontend and Node.js on the backend.
• Proven ability to collaborate with executives (CEO/CTO) and cross-functional teams to define strategy, requirements, and deliverables.
• 8+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years of experience contributing to system design or architecture.
• Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery; ability to architect, deploy, and operate scalable services in a GCP environment.
• Experience modeling, querying, and optimizing MongoDB schemas for performance at scale.
• Strong testing discipline across unit, integration, and end-to-end tests (and comfort with testing frameworks).
• Demonstrated ability to design, architect, and ship scalable software systems, providing technical leadership and mentoring other engineers.
• Focus is on true, well-balanced full-stack engineers or a very frontend-focused one.
• Experience with React.
