About this role

We are looking for a Forward-Deployed Engineer with 1–5 years of experience to embed directly with Alcor Labs' enterprise customers and bring smart glasses to life on the factory floor. This is a rare blend of hands-on engineering and customer-facing impact — you'll be the person who turns ambiguous field requirements into shipped, working product at industrial sites.

What will you be doing?

Own end-to-end on-site deployments: network configuration, edge-compute setup, and system integration testing at customer facilities

Build API, webhook, and ETL integrations connecting the glasses to customer ERP, CMMS, ticketing, and knowledge base systems

Run technical demos and POCs that convert industrial prospects into paying customers

Develop custom AI evals tailored to each customer's operational needs and drive white-glove onboarding to real adoption

Act as the two-way conduit between customers and the product/eng team — surfacing field insights and identifying what should become core product features

Key Requirements

1–5 years post-grad experience in a hands-on FDE, Solutions Engineer, or Implementation Engineer role — ideally deploying software with industrial customers

Proven integration breadth: API / webhook / ETL work connecting 3+ systems

AI-product fluency: able to integrate models (e.g. enterprise RAG) and translate operational problems into AI evals

Willingness to travel 25% for on-site customer deployments

Baseline customer-facing skills: able to understand customer problems, build trust with operators, and support end-user adoption

Company at a glance

Alcor is a technology company that builds wearable AI for field technicians, providing real-time guidance and on-device decision support. Its scalable deployments in data centers and energy infrastructure underscore reliability and enterprise focus.
