Job DetailsJob Location: DC5 Worth St - Burlington, NC 27215Salary Range: $21.00 HourlyThe Sanitation Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment across multiple facility sites. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with food safety standards, workplace safety, and company sanitation procedures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of working independently while traveling between designated sites.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of production areas, restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and common spaces at multiple sites.

Safely handle and properly use cleaning chemicals, sanitizers, and equipment according to company and regulatory guidelines.

Monitor and restock cleaning and sanitation supplies across all assigned locations.

Remove trash, recyclables, and waste from designated areas and ensure proper disposal procedures are followed.

Conduct floor care (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing) and maintain sanitary conditions in both production and non-production spaces.

Support pest-prevention efforts by maintaining cleanliness standards and promptly addressing sanitation concerns.

Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), OSHA, and food safety compliance requirements.

Report maintenance, safety, or sanitation issues to site supervisors or management promptly.

Travel between assigned facilities as scheduled, ensuring consistent service and cleanliness standards are met.

QualificationsQualifications

Education/Training/Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Related Experience

Knowledge/Skills Experience

Previous experience in sanitation, custodial, or janitorial work (food manufacturing environment a plus).

Knowledge of safe chemical handling, cleaning procedures, and sanitation best practices.

Reliable transportation and ability to travel between multiple sites as required.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Flexibility in scheduling, including nights, weekends, and shift rotations if needed.
