Position Opportunity

We are seeking a Packaging Technician with 1-3 years of experience in the Operations or Engineering/Maintenance sector. The ideal candidate will be able to operate machines related to packaging, troubleshoot the machine, and coordinate with other departments to help accomplish the packaging testing for new solutions.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Engage in and inspect CQV (Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation) process and ensure that the new packaging is eligible for mass production
Operate machines related to packaging (e.g. tripack sleever, casepacker, crimper, …) during trials for new solutions and record the optimal configuration
Summarize line observation data, assess whether tested products are qualified from Operations perspective using metrics including OEE, MTBF, …, and contribute to root cause analysis
Troubleshoot the machines in the trial when machines are down
Coordinate with Operations, R&D, Quality, or Sales to push forward packaging trials when needed
Report on any issues or areas of improvement during line observations
Deal with ad-hoc requests from engineering/maintenance department
QualificationsQualifications

Education

High school diploma required

Related Experience

At least 1-3 years of experience in the Operations or Engineering/Maintenance sector required, internal applicants with a passion for packaging strongly encouraged

Knowledge/Skills

Highly familiar with machine operations, especially packaging related ones
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
Capable of working flexible hours according to the needs
Decent understanding of testing methods and evaluation metrics
Excellent communication skills for working with cross-functional teams
Knowledge of packaging automation, machinery, and manufacturing processes
Strong problem-solving and time management skills
Willingness and passion to learn new things
Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment
Basic Microsoft Office skills needed (Excel, Word, …)
