Position Opportunity

Alamance Foods is seeking a National Account Executive to manage and grow an established portfolio of national and strategic customer accounts. This role is responsible for maintaining long-term customer relationships while identifying opportunities to increase revenue through strategic account management and consultative selling.

The ideal candidate will bring prior sales experience with strategic or national accounts and possess the ability to leverage that experience to drive customer satisfaction, account growth, and long-term business partnerships.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Account Management & Business Development

Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of national and strategic customer accounts.
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, ensuring exceptional customer service and long-term relationship development.
Develop strategic account plans focused on revenue growth, customer retention, and account expansion.
Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and long-term partnership development.
Conduct regular business reviews with customers to evaluate performance and identify future opportunities.

Sales Strategy & Execution

Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with company objectives.
Analyze customer purchasing trends, sales performance, and market conditions to identify growth opportunities.
Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations, proposals, and account reviews.
Maintain accurate forecasts, pipeline activity, customer communications, and CRM documentation.
Ensure compliance with company sales processes, policies, and reporting requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner closely with Operations, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, and Leadership teams to ensure successful execution of customer programs.
Coordinate customer requests, product launches, promotions, and issue resolution across internal departments.
Communicate customer expectations and market feedback to internal stakeholders to support continuous improvement.

QualificationsQualifications

Education/Training

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and professional sales experience will be considered.

Experience

Approximately five (5) years of professional sales experience, preferably supporting strategic or national customer accounts.
Demonstrated success managing existing accounts while driving revenue growth through consultative selling.
Experience supporting large or multi-location customer accounts.
Background in B2B sales environments preferred.
Experience with account planning, forecasting, pipeline management, and long-term customer strategy.

Work Environment

This is a remote position with frequent travel to customer locations, industry events, and Alamance Foods facilities. The role requires the ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication and collaboration with internal teams.

Standard business hours are Monday through Friday; however, additional hours may be required to accommodate customer meetings, travel schedules, and business needs.

Travel Requirements

Travel required approximately 50–60% of the time.
Frequent travel to customer locations throughout assigned territories.
Travel to Alamance Foods manufacturing facilities for meetings, customer visits, training, and strategic planning.
Valid driver's license and the ability to travel by automobile and commercial airline as needed.
