AGL is looking for an experienced Property, Plant and Equipment Controller to join the MLSS II team onsite at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL. 

 

The PPE Controller [Systems/Equipment Controller] plans and coordinates all accountable property activities, including tracking, database documentation, loans, center-to-center transfers, disposal actions, artifact management, and archival reconciliation. Performs records research, verifies documentation from all PSA/PC sources for accuracy and completeness, and prepares routine and special reports. Processes all inventory transactions, including opening and closing inventory reports, and ensures accuracy of the Government Property Management System. Conducts audits and quality checks and communicates issues or discrepancies to supervisors and management.

 


Responsibilities

  • Ensure currency and accuracy of Government Property Management System (GPMS)
  • Receive GPMS unprocessed documentation from Property Support Assistant (PSA) and Equipment Specialist, determine proper transaction coding and process into the GPMS
  • Apply correct GPMS transaction to documentation affecting GPMS property
  • Receive processed GPMS documentation from PSAs, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Reconcile all GPMS inputs for archiving
  • Assist PSAs with record research
  • Assist PSAs in performing inventory and field research
  • Interface with other NASA Centers, agencies, and companies to complete GPMS processing and records storage
  • Performing inventory
  • Maintain contractor responsibilities concerning the transfer file inbound/outbound property
  • Interface with NASA client and other government contract personnel in establishing, reallocating and terminating loan accounts
  • Serve as primary control representative for NASA artifacts currently assigned to MSFC
  • Maintain GPMS on all active and inactive applications concerning equipment loans
  • Serve as organizational representative to participate in meetings to discuss, review, plan and update major changes to the GPMS
  • Prepare routine, special or one-time reports, summaries, or replies to inquiries, selecting relevant information from a variety of sources
  • Ensure incoming calls and visitors are received expeditiously and hospitably, ensure correspondence is routed properly and quickly
  • Interface with Customer personnel in a courteous manner at all times
  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree and 5 years of experience or 7 years of equivalent experience without a degree
  • Must be a US Citizen or legal resident alien status; and satisfy federal government background investigation for access to information systems and facilities; having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement
  • Must pass a background investigation and be granted access/clearance to Marshall Space Flight Center
  • REAL ID and valid driver's license with acceptable driving history to operate company vehicles
