About this role

The Project Manager is responsible for providing leadership, operational oversight, and contract management for security services across CDC leased and owned facilities. This role requires strong supervisory experience within law enforcement and/or security operations, comprehensive knowledge of physical security practices, and proficiency in training and computer systems. The Project Manager ensures all guard personnel meet required standards, maintains compliance with policies and regulations, and supports continuous improvement in security practices.
 
Position is contingent upon contract award.


Position will be based in Fort Collins


Responsibilities

  • Manage the security guard contract and overall guard force operations.
  • Ensure staffing requirements are met at all levels.
  • Verify all new guard personnel meet certifications and licensing requirements before assignment.
  • Ensure certifications and licensing remain current for all security staff.
  • Maintain working knowledge of all procedures, policies, regulations, and best business practices relevant to contract execution.
  • Oversee training management, including planning and delivering ongoing refresher training throughout each calendar year.
  • Ensure vehicles, equipment, gear, and appropriate clothing are serviceable and available for personnel.
  • Develop and execute quarterly security exercises at all CDC leased and owned facilities, assessing guard force response, knowledge, and competency.
  • Conduct and document After-Action Reviews (AARs), including lessons learned and corrective actions. Submit AARs to the CDC COR.
  • Provide effective supervision for all security personnel assigned to CDC facilities.
  • Conduct weekly on-site visits to each post across various shifts.
  • Ensure high-quality training is delivered and maintained for all security personnel.
  • Ensure only suitable and qualified security personnel are assigned to the contract.
  • Establish, update, and maintain security officer post orders and procedures in coordination with the CDC COR or designated representative.
  • Serve as the liaison between the Contractor and CDC COR on day-to-day operational matters.
  • Ensure the Project Manager or CDC‑approved designee is available at all times to respond to emergency situations.

 


Qualifications

  • Management / supervisory and operational experience in law enforcement and/or the security field.
  • Working knowledge of physical security operations, including security administration, access control, security systems, and contemporary best business practices.
  • Experience delivering or managing security training programs.
  • Strong proficiency in computer systems and operational applications.
  • Must be able to pass CDC background investigation.
  • Must obtain CDC suitability approval.
  • Prior federal security badge/suitability preferred.
