Aircraft Mechanic II Flight Instructor MH-60M
About this role
The Aircraft Mechanic II serves as the MH-60M non-rated crewmember Flight Instructor.
Responsibilities
- The Flight Instructor will evaluate assigned crew chiefs (CE) and track flight training records.
- Will train and certify individuals on APU engine runs.
- Will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on assigned aircraft.
- Will perform pre-flight and daily inspections.
- Will perform flight duties as required.
- Will perform aircraft movement as part of a towing team.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a secret clearance.
- Minimum of 500 flight hours required, 100 of which must be in the MH-60M.
- Must have flight records for verification of hours and training.
- (1) Must have successfully completed one of the following Nonrated Crewmember Flight Instructor courses, Fort Rucker, AL or EAATS, Pa.: 600-ASI N1 (CH-47), 600-ASI N1 (UH-60) or (2) The Aircraft Crewmember Standardization courses at Fort Campbell, Ky.: 600-ASI N1 (MH47), or 600-ASI N1 (MH-60).
- Documented Military/DOD service school training required.
- Must be in possession of or able to pass a FAA third class flight physical.
- Must have own tools/toolbox.
- Must be able to complete TDY support missions of 1-2 weeks in length.
